An experiment on mice induced with Crohn’s disease has shown that lactobacillales significantly improved the condition of the animals, presumably due to the influence of the antioxidants superoxide dismutase and catalase produced by select types of these bacteria (LeBlanc et al. 2011). In April 1999, Mrs. E. K. (Glamsbjerg, Denmark) was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease.
